White Sage | Indigenous Grown & Harvested

$11.00

Indigenous-Sourced | Grown & Hand-Wrapped on Reservation Land

Our White Sage is offered with an emphasis on knowing where our medicines come from and whose hands have tended them. It is important that you know what relationships and energies are behind what you bring into your homes and practices.

This sage is sourced from Whispering Winds Shop, an Indigenous-owned business owned by a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. The white sage is grown and harvested on reservation land, then carefully hand-wrapped in 100% cotton thread by tribal members.

White sage (Salvia apiana) is a deeply aromatic plant native to Southern California and northern Baja California, with longstanding cultural and ceremonial significance among Indigenous peoples of this region. As white sage has become increasingly commercialized within wellness and spiritual spaces, we believe transparency around where the plant comes from and who benefits from its sale matters. Since it has made its way out of original ceremonial contexts into the larger spiritual landscape, it is important to us that we support tribes who know how to cultivate in relationship with the land.

At Seeds of Being, we offer this sage for prayer, cleansing, purification, and intentional tending of self + space, while honoring that Indigenous nations and communities carry their own distinct relationships, teachings, and ceremonial practices with sacred smoke medicines.
