Beyond the Dose
A Relational Approach to Microdosing
Microdosing is often spoken about through the language of protocols, productivity, optimization, and self-improvement. But working with sacred mushrooms can also offer space for healing, deeper self-awareness, reflection, and meaningful change.
Beyond the Dose is a free introductory webinar exploring what it can mean to approach microdosing relationally, with intention, reverence, reciprocity, discernment, and integration.
Rather than focusing only on how to microdose, we’ll explore the relationship we cultivate with the medicine and the conditions we create around that relationship. How might slowing down and listening allow us to notice patterns, emotions, beliefs, and parts of ourselves asking for our attention? How can the insights that arise become invitations for healing and change within both our inner and outer worlds?
We’ll also widen the conversation beyond the individual. What histories and relationships with sacred mushrooms existed before the modern psychedelic movement? What can become lost when medicine is reduced to a product or wellness tool? And what responsibilities might accompany receiving something we consider medicine?
This gathering is for those who are curious about microdosing, considering beginning a practice, or already have experience but are longing for an approach that feels more intentional, grounded, and relational.
What We’ll Explore
Microdosing 101: What microdosing is, what it is not, and common approaches used today
The current landscape: What emerging research suggests, where evidence remains limited, and how that differs from the claims often made about microdosing
Healing & self-inquiry: How this work may create space to meet patterns, emotions, beliefs, and parts of ourselves with greater awareness
Beyond optimization: Moving from productivity and self-improvement toward relationship, listening, and meaningful change
History & lineage: Indigenous relationships with sacred mushrooms and what can become erased through commercialization and Western psychedelic culture
Intention & listening: Exploring the difference between directing an experience and becoming receptive to what arises
Ritual & relationship: How prayer, altar tending, journaling, and connection with land can support intentional practice
Reciprocity & responsibility: Asking not only what we hope to receive from medicine, but what responsibilities accompany that relationship
Integration: Why what happens between doses can be just as important as the experience itself, and how insight can become embodied change
Safety & discernment: Important considerations, contraindications, and recognizing when microdosing may not be appropriate
Questions + open conversation: Space to bring your curiosity, experiences, and reflections
What to Expect
This is an educational and reflective gathering, not a step-by-step dosing workshop. You do not need previous experience with microdosing or psychedelics to attend, and there is no expectation that you begin a microdosing practice afterward.
Come with a journal, an open mind, and your questions. There will be space for teaching, reflection, conversation, and a closing practice inviting you to consider what it might mean to be in relationship with medicine rather than simply taking it.
For those who feel called to explore this work more deeply, I’ll also share about The Sacred Spiral, my eight-week guided microdosing journey centered around relationship, ritual, self-inquiry, healing, and integration.
