Beyond the Dose

Beyond the Dose

A Relational Approach to Microdosing

Microdosing has become increasingly popular in the wellness world, often spoken about through the language of protocols, productivity, optimization, and personal transformation. But what changes when we begin to approach these medicines not simply as something we take, but as something we are entering into relationship with?

Beyond the Dose is a free introductory webinar exploring a relational approach to microdosing, one rooted in intention, reverence, reciprocity, discernment, and integration.

Together, we will move beyond the question of “How do I microdose?” and into deeper questions: What does it mean to cultivate relationship with a medicine? What histories and traditions existed before the modern psychedelic movement? What responsibilities come with receiving medicine? And how can ritual, prayer, land, community, and integration shape the way we approach this work?

This gathering is for those who are curious about microdosing, considering beginning a practice, or already have experience but are longing for an approach that feels more intentional and relational.

What We’ll Explore

During our time together, we’ll move through:

  • Microdosing 101: what microdosing is, what it is not, and some of the common approaches used today

  • The current landscape of microdosing, including what emerging research can and cannot tell us

  • Beyond optimization, looking at the difference between approaching mushrooms as a tool for productivity or self-improvement and approaching them relationally

  • History and lineage, including Indigenous relationships with sacred mushrooms and what can become erased when medicines enter Western wellness culture

  • Intention and listening, exploring the difference between directing an experience and learning how to listen to what arises

  • Ritual and relationship, including ways practices such as altar tending, prayer, journaling, and connection with land can support intentionality

  • Reciprocity and responsibility, asking not only what we hope to receive from medicine, but what we are responsible for in return

  • Integration, and why the days between doses can be just as meaningful as the days we work with medicine

  • Safety and discernment, including important considerations, contraindications, and recognizing when microdosing may not be appropriate

  • Questions + open conversation, with space to bring your curiosity and reflections

What to Expect

This will be an educational and reflective gathering rather than a step-by-step dosing workshop. You do not need any previous experience with microdosing or psychedelics to attend, and there is no expectation that you begin a microdosing practice afterward.

Come with a journal, an open mind, and your questions. There will be space for teaching, reflection, conversation, and a closing practice to help you consider what being in relationship with medicine might mean for you.

For those who feel called to continue beyond this introductory gathering, I’ll also share a little about The Sacred Spiral, my eight-week guided microdosing journey centered around relationship, ritual, reflection, and integration.
